PRINTING TECHNIQUE

All my images for sale are giclée prints. The word giclée (sji`klé) has French origins and means splashed or sprayed. The term giclee print originated in the 1980s, when artists used inkjet printers to create and reproduce art.

I print at the well-known print shop Fineartprint AS in Sandnes. They are used by artist all over Norway. They are particularly good at what they do!

They produce giclee prints on the latest generation of Epson large format printers with Epson Ultracrome PRO pigment ink. Independent tests show that this ink has a durability of up to 400 years.

PAPER

The papers that are made for pigment printing are high-tech products consisting of several different layers. They all provide very good print quality. What distinguishes the various papers is the paper base itself and the paper's surface.

Reproductions are made on both completely plain papers and papers with structure. I have chosen 310 g.rams matt acid-free cotton-based art paper, Canson infinty Etching Rag 310 gsm with a rough texture. It is the best, and I love it!

CERTIFICATE

The prints are delivered from the printing house Fineartprint AS in Sandnes with a signed certificate (Certificate of Authenticity) by the general manager of the printing house and the artist.

The certificate is proof that the print has a very high durability and that the edition is limited.
